This is what happens when you ask a 7 year old (Breanna) to pack up some things to do on the 17 hour international trip to America. She packs these "essencial" items:
* 1 cardboard toilet paper roll with a funny face drawn on it - I am still wondering about that one but it may have something to do with the fact that most bathrooms that we have used during our travels in Albania do not have toilet paper in them (we bring our own) and she has been traumatized by this. However, that does not explain the empty roll...
* 1 bear flashlight that growls when you turn it on. Again, she is anticipating the power going out to something. However, I can just imagine the bear growling during the security inspection and us getting stopped for dangerous contraband.
* 1 plastic juice bottle cut in half full of pens and pencils (half of which do not work). At least she is into the recycling thing.
* 3 Leapster units with a game for each one. Hey, a girl's got to be prepared in case one of them runs out of batteries.
* 1 magnetic drawing board just in case she needs to write a message to me on the plane - like, "Mommy, I have to go the bathroom AGAIN."
* 1 stationary box so she can write to all her friends in Albania that she will miss over the summer.
After taking this photo I removed all but 1 leapster and asked Kaitlyn to pack some different things for her. She'll thank me for this after 10 hours into our travels. After all how much fun can you have with an empty toilet paper roll?
