The month of May was a whirlwind of activity for our family, but the highlight was Kris graduating from DTS. He says he managed to cram a 4 year degree into 8 years. LOL! Truly, it was a great joy to watch him receive his ThM (Masters of Theology) on May 12th after so many years of hard work. Here he is holding his diploma right after the graduation ceremony. 
I (Chelle) am so proud of Kris! Working full time at Lakeside Bible Church, commuting to school (driving to Dallas two times a week for the last year), and being a wonderful husband and father is no easy task, but Kris did them all exceedingly well. 
Here is our family at the graduation chapel on May 11th. The girls (Sierra, Whitney, Kaitlyn and Breanna) were so excited to see daddy at school. Kris's parents, my mom and her husband and my dad and his wife all travelled to Dallas to join in the festivities and see Kris graduate. We are so thankful for their love and support. Our pastor, Ken Ramey, and his wife and family and our youth pastor, Adam Tyson, and his wife also drove up to honor Kris at his graduation. What a great group of loved ones we have!
Here is a shot of all the 2007 graduates from DTS at Prestonwood Baptist Church in Dallas. Out of this large graduating class, Kris was one of four men chosen to preach in chapel at DTS during Senior Preaching Week. The professors of the preaching department pick the best four men of the graduating class and they preach to compete for the Ironside Award for preacher of the year. Kris did a phenomenal job when he preached! He didn't receive the award, but experts of his sermon were published in the quarterly DTS letter. We praise God that He even gave Kris the privilege of preaching to the student body. That was a great honor!With Kris's graduation behind us, we were able to focus more on the task at hand...getting ready for Albania.
