Shepherd's Conference, Albania 2008
On March 26th, 2008, 55 pastors and their wives joined together at a hotel in Durres, Albania for a four day pastor's conference called, “Konferenca E Barinjve Shqiptare 2008,” (Shepherds’ Conference, Albania).
The purpose of the conference was to equip and encourage Albanian pastors and elders. Our main conference speaker, who has ministered for years among the international church, challenged us to have a proper view of God’s eternal plan of evangelization so that we would be about the work of the Kingdom.
There was plenty of good food and wonderful fellowship as we met with pastors from all across Albania. This was a wonderful opportunity to build new relationships, meet potential seminary students, and to practice Albanian. The music team from our home church was there every night to lead the music and singing and Kris had the opportunity to teach two seminars on Worship and Discipleship.
We are grateful to those of you who prayed for this conference as well as for Kris’ preparation and involvement. Many who came said it was the best conference yet. We give God all the praise and glory.
Please continue to pray for the many pastors and church leaders who work in some of the most difficult parts of Albania. Pray that they would be encouraged in spite of persecution and opposition. Pray that they would be bold and courageous to live and preach the Gospel. Pray that the hearts of Albanians would be softened so that a great revival would spread all across this land. - Kris Stire -

Hey Chelle and Chris! I seriously have no idea how I found your blog, I was just blog-hopping and there you were! It's SOOOO great to "see" you guys and your sweet girls - I've thought about you guys a couple times over the years and to see all that God has done for you is just so great! Would love to catch up!
